பத்து எண்கள்

1-உம் 0-உம் சேர்ந்தால் 10: பத்து. Put 1 and 0 together to write 10: பத்து (ten). Old Tamil also has its own sign for ten, ௰.

“பதினாறும் பெற்றுப் பெருவாழ்வு வாழ்க!” என்று பெரியவர்கள் வாழ்த்துவார்கள். Elders bless us: “May you have all sixteen and live a great life!” (The list follows Abhirami Pathigam; two are put simply for children.)

இரண்டு கண்கள்
Two Eyes · 🌿 6–9
“எண்ணென்ப ஏனை எழுத்தென்ப இவ்விரண்டும் கண்ணென்ப வாழும் உயிர்க்கு” (திருக்குறள் 392). Numbers and letters are the two eyes of every living person (Thirukkural 392).
அன்பும் அறனும் · Love and virtue
“அன்பும் அறனும் உடைத்தாயின் இல்வாழ்க்கை பண்பும் பயனும் அது” (திருக்குறள் 45) · A home with love and virtue has both grace and purpose.
ஒன்றே குலம்
We Are One · 🌿 6–9
“ஒன்றே குலம் ஒருவனே தேவன்” (திருமூலர், திருமந்திரம்: “ஒன்றே குலமும் ஒருவனே தேவனும்”). Humankind is one family, and God is one (Thirumoolar, Thirumanthiram).
